DESCRIPTION:
Clocks- 3 (Three): (1) Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Drop Octagon 12 Inch" hanging clock with a spring driven, 8 day timepiece movement in an oak case with original alternating stains to create a mosaic pattern, c1890; (2) Ansonia Clock Co., New York, unidentified regulator hanging clock in a grained wood case, c1910. (3) New Haven Clock Co., New Haven, Conn., "Imperial" hanging clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement in a rosewood veneered case, c1883.
CONDITION:
(1) The case retains its original finish. The original painted dial is in excellent condition. The hands are original. The movement is signed. There is a nice label inside the case. The door glasses are original. Overall, this is a very attractive clock; (2) The case has its original finish over the nicely grained wood surface, but the bezel has lost its grained finish. The original paper dial has become darkened in areas. The hands are original. The door glasses are original. The movement is signed. (3) The case retains its original finish but has a small burn mark on the lower left bottom of the case. The inside of the case as seen through the door window shows evidence of a paper or label having been removed. The original paper dial has been finished over which detracts from the clock. The hands are original. The door glasses are original. Note: The largest dimensions are for clock number 3.
